TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MANGANESE -PHOSPHATE
Manganese-phosphate coating is shown as Mnph. The color of the coating varies between dark gray and black.
In manganese-phosphate process, the weight of phosphate varies by the chemicals used and the working conditions. The weight of phosphate ranges between 5 and 30 g/m2.
In protective phosphate coating, the corrosion resistance of the material varies by the characteristic of the lubricants, emulsion or wax impregnated by phosphate crystals.
Degreasing and derusting processes, which must be performed before phosphate coating process, are very important. If these processes are not properly performed, the benefits of phosphate coating would not be as desired.
