APPLICATION FIELDS OF MANGANESE- PHOSPHATE

This is a phosphate application, which operates in greasy environments, which facilitates sliding of moving machinery parts and which reduces intermetallic friction. It is applied on ferrous materials. Manganese phosphate acts as a layer on metal surface and it has high oil absorption capacity. Thus, the friction coefficient between the metal parts decreases, abrasion reduces and the corrosion resistance of the parts increases.

The coating weights of manganese phosphate layers are recommended to be between 5 and 30 g/m2. They act as separating layers.

They have high oil absorption capacities. They have higher pressure and heat resistance comparing to zinc phosphate. They are commonly used in gear, piston and weapon industries.
